Next Time, I Will Think Twice or More!

I’ve been getting some email and a private message or two about the mystery author on the premium newsletter and I have to admit, it has made me a little uncomfortable lately because it is not transparent.

I believe in transparency and contrary to that I agreed to keep this persons identity confidential if they would write the series of articles we discussed over lunch a few weeks ago. Then I got them to agree to participate in a couple of live interactive chats. One of those was with a private group and the other was a public chat through the MB site. You can read the transcript at http://www.magicbullets.com/forum/showthread.php?t=7074

The article series will go forward because the information presented is that good and stands on its own. It really wouldn’t matter if it were Willy on skid row writing them or Donald Trump. If people follow even just a few of his suggestions in the articles they will see results.

In the interest of being as transparent as possible…

  1. This person is not receiving any compensation for the articles and did not receive any for the chat sessions.
  2. They are not soliciting any kind of participation from any of the readers to invest with them or buy any service from them.
  3. They are not a household name and want to keep it that way.
  4. They wrote the articles and participated in the chat sessions as a personal favor to me.
  5. They have no interest in writing a book or giving lectures or seminars.
  6. They are a full-time investor and money manager.
  7. I will keep my promise and not disclose their identity.

In retrospect, I shouldn’t have agreed to the confidentiality part, but the agreement was made and I will honor it unless they change their mind - not very likely. I also shouldn’t have asked him to do the public chat.

We live and learn.

  1. Unfortunately, people often judge content not by the content but by the messenger. By allowing your author and guest to be anonymous you invite speculation and more. When people don’t have real facts, they will make stuff up.

  2. OK, I for one don’t like anonymity because I do consider the source when I evaluate the message. With this person remaining anonymous I have no way of knowing whether he really knows what he talking about or not. I don’t know if he really has the background claimed.

I am a subscriber of your premium news letter and your free one too but very many anonymous authors and I will seriously think about being a former subscriber.

  3. ha ha ha ha ha ha ha

That sound? That is your credibility falling through the floor just like house prices!

  4. I was on the private chat and I am not that concerned about the guy remaining anonymous. He quickly and easily answered all of the questions posed to him and followed up with the documents needed to work with any attorney to set up the money groups he described.
I am in the process of finalizing my group of 20 people and everything down to the last detail has been as he described.
I am glad Tim knows this guy and got him to help us.

  5. Well Gerry I did not get the benefit of either chat I am reading the articles and I’d like to independantly verify what he says.

  6. While I understand why the receivers are leary of not knowing who the unverified anonymous host was, I trusted Tim enough to accept that the host has the integrity and knowledge to provide accurate information.

The public chat at Magic Bullets was a huge success, without a doubt. We thank Tim for giving us the opportunity to learn from his anonymous host.

Magic Bullets would not have accepted the offer of anonymous host if it were not from Tim or any other well-known and reputable MB members.

  7. Thanks, Debbie and Gerry.

Cheryl, I understand how you feel and if you want to request a refund, the link is in the top right-hand corner of each of the pages.

  8. I know who the guy is because I was there when the deal went down, but this ole gal ain’t tellin’.

I am in some of his groups and he has never steered me wrong. I have never taken the step to form my own group but I am active in ten of them now.

Cheryl, hon, stop looking a gift horse in the mouth. You act like they asked you to invest with them or something.

Wait a minute, on second thought, maybe you asked if you could get in a group and were turned down.

  9. I think he is a she.

  10. Howard now I am curious. Why do you think that he is a she?

  11. DSutter, don’t call me “hon” I consider it to be demeaning to all women.

I am not looking a gift horse in the mouth and I was not turned down to join a group. But, I would like to know who is behind the mask so to speak. I think it would help to understand things.

  12. Cheryl, hon, there is nothing at all wrong with me using the term “hon”.

  13. Cheryl,

DSutter is a woman hence not a problem using the term “Hon”.

    Hi D…..er, hon! *smiling*
