Former President Gerald Ford died this evening.

It doesn’t matter what your political leanings, Ford was a man who did what he thought was right. He was thrust into the Presidency in a time of turmoil and was the guiding rudder that turned this country away from a constitutional crisis.

He was a politician of the old order, not the sniping vindictive type we have today.

God Speed Jerry Ford, history has judged you well and this country is better because of your service to it.
